Paris, Texas musician Allan Hubbard has a nice set of guitar-based instrumental work available for free download on his site through June. Well worth looking into.

I stumbled across Swedish band Tape, who play quiet, spooky instrumental stuff with a bit of found sound added in as texture. Luminarium is their latest release from Häpna Records. They’ve got another couple records, all worth your time, but I think this latest release is likely their best.
Artist Scott Hansen, who produces some nice music as Tycho, has created a nice print for Barrack Obama’s 2008 campaign for President of the United States.
The always brilliant 12k label has three new releases available, including work from Sawako, Taylor Duepree’s reissue of Northern, and a compilation of previous work from Richard Chartier.
A bit off-topic, and the music isn’t particularly good to boot, but I thought people might find this video worth watching.

Interesting bit from Radiolab on WNYC where composer David Lang talks about his work composing music for a room where people look at dead people.
As a person who has a hand in designing “experiences” for people, this is hugely interesting to me.
