Ambient Music Blog

Connecting interested listeners worldwide to handcrafted & experimental music.

Submissions Policy

When I started this site, I made the conscious decision to only write about and post links to music I found interesting and enjoyable.

If you’ve got music you think I’d be interested in hearing, please send it my way. You can send links for downloads or requests for a postal address to: ambientmusicblog (at) gmail.com

I generally respond to email, but due to the large number of submissions and correspondence I receive, sometimes something will slip by me. Please feel free to send something again if you feel like maybe I’ve overlooked it.

A few general rules that might clear things up
1. I don’t really “review” music, I simply point people to things I think are good.
2. As a result, if I don’t like something, or it’s not consistent with the other kinds of music I’ve posted to the site in the past, it very likely won’t be mentioned on the site.
3. If your music has vocals or percussion tracks, that’s a pretty good indication that I won’t be interested in it. There are exceptions, but they are, well, exceptional.

Anything that appears on the site is there because I like it and think the site’s readers might like to know about it. I receive a fair amount of complimentary review copies of music, both physical and digital, but I do not entertain offers for paid placement of content, links, or advertising. I don’t link to or provide illegal downloads, and any music featured in the Ambient Music Blog Podcast is by permission from the artists or record labels.
